Neurolinguistic is a study of the neural mechanisms in the human brain that control the comprehension, production, and acquisition of language. Human only use 1/8 part of his brain. This part is called conscious mind.  In this class, we were taught about the other side of our mind; the subconscious mind. This is one of the most thrilling classes I ever had. You stimulated your subconscious mind, and conquer your fear. It’s neither easy nor impossible. 
 
Play with your mind is difficult if you don’t know how to do it. En Faizal Kamal,* I, by mistake, addressed him Farid Kamil.Aigoo~~* as our instructor for the day had guide us and gave enough examples and instructions during the class. You could detect the feeling of the individual besides you just by coordinating your movement and breathe according to his. You also could erase your painful memories by exploring this subconscious mind. This is not a magic class. No Wingardium Leviosa, Expelliarmus or Avada Kedavra.  Your brain work for it. 

There were also some tests and activities. One of the tests is identify our personality I don’t know how to describe it accurately. I’m more to kinesthetic and vision, and not to audio. So, I classified myself as quarter deaf. haha.

For the big event the next day, we did a ‘build your confident’ session. It was like this: Imagine you’re in a blue circle area where in that circle, you have the most confident moment with a special anthem. Believe it or not, I had this song played in my confident circle, before I found out that the song must be a positive song. Okay, I failed. But, still, I managed to be confident. ^^

I chose this song because of the music, not the lyrics. It is an adrenaline-rushed music so it is suitable for this moment. That's my opinion. However, the best song that will unleash your inner confidence is Queen - We Are The Champion. Meaningful. ^^

The Art of Negotiation Skills

We negotiate to buy goods in a cheaper price, we negotiate with our  future in-laws before getting married with our beloved. We negotiate almost for everything and every day. But, do we know how to negotiate in a right way?

This 2-days session monitored by Mr. Hisham was a chaotic session. First, we learned about the theories of BATNA, ZOPA, reservation price, and creation value. Then, we were divided into 6 groups. We were asked to act for several cases and conditions. Since my class mate were very supportive, this session had become very exciting. My group had been given the task to act as Amir, Ziana’s boss who reluctant to give Ziana holiday. It really showed the way we negotiate; full with feelings and emotions. A good negotiator will think effectively and will never let his emotion overwhelm the situation. One of the best negotiators in business world is Donald Trump. In another activity, we; Ain Tamsir and I had created a situation that involved negotiation. It was about Nobita and Giant. Sound childish, eh? XD

Mr Hisham’s class will never fail to make you laugh. I suffered from stomachache that night due to excessive laughing. keke. These two days session were exciting and beneficial though. And somehow, I am grateful I was there. :)

Public Speaking

The day to collect a bucket full of sweat and blood had arrived. I could see various reactions and expressions on my class mates’ faces. Some were confident, some were expressionless, some became very quiet and numb, and as for me, I was trembling and shivering and everything. I was not that prepared. I blamed myself for that. Oh, I missed some of them because I went to dentist to accompany my  friend. 

My text. I forgot most of the phrases.

I know my text is suck. Last minute preparation, but the comment Mr Hisham gave was good. I can attract people’s attention. I was thankful for that comment though I knew I didn’t deserve it.My deep apologize to Mr Hisham, and myself too for not doing the best. And congrats to my class mate because you'd done the best. *Clap, clap*

Grooming

The career world is different from your school days. You need to invest some of your money for you appearance because good first impression will sell your product. Believe it. Practically, the quote "Don't judge a book by its cover'" is half true. I bought a book after reading the synopsis at the back and looking at the cover. Synopsis is not that accurate.

Through the grooming class, we got to know the best style and fashion, and what not to wear to office. Look sleek, professional and elegant are the key. Make a right match of the accessorizes, the clothes, the shoes and the handbag, and walla, you'll look as trendy as Kate Moss. You can be glamorous without wearing Fendi, Gucci, or Versace if you know how. Suit is the best attire to wear to office.

Choose the right color by looking at our vein's color. Mine is green, which mean, pastel colors suit me the best. However, you still can wear other color if you want. This is only a suggestion.

A combination of two colors for a brigthful working day.
I'm the type who wear things I like and according to my mood. If I'm moody, I will wear bright red so that people will not even speak to me.Then, will 'perasan sendiri yang orang lain minat kat kau.Cess.' I also don't wear any makeup, not even powder. First, my face is sensitive with those chemical things and will cause acne breakdown, and to make things worse, I love to touch my skin. Second, I feel my face become 'heavy'. Communication for Leaders

Not everyone was born with talent and gifted with unique ability. To be a leader, you need to be a good orator because you need to inspire others and coach them. Below is what I wrote on my notes during the class:

I clearly remembered this during Prof Syed Omar’s class, “ If you’re sad or angry, never influence your work and people around you.” A good leader can maintain his sanity and act professional despite of the problems. Have a point of view, and communicating courageously. 

We were asked to choose a great leader that aspiring others. We chose Sukarno, the nationalist of Indonesia. He was an inspiration to the Indonesians. The most remarkable speech he had made was,
“Berikan aku 1000 orang tua, niscaya akan kucabut semeru dari akarnya, berikan aku 1 pemuda, niscaya akan kuguncangkan dunia”
We also were given a case and identified the communication breakdown and barrier resulting in the mishap of the event, and presented it in front of the class. And,and, this part was very exciting. The group that won the presentation will be given RM50 as a reward. Guess what? Our group won it!!We shared the happiness with our neighboring group, Pecah Mental cuz' they won it too. Yeah!!! Passionate, Positive, People. BioSelf!!

Effective and Powerful Presentation

To stand in front of the people is not easy, to talk about your idea needs courage, to attract others attention requires gut and luck, to mesmerize them with your talk is tricky. You need to have certain criteria and great personality to be able to do those things. But, it is not impossible. Anything is possible. ^^
We need to be confident, confident, and confident. It is easier to say than done, yes it is, but with ongoing training and experiences, you will be a good presenter.

En. Abdullah Yunos and Puan Rusilawati Kamaruddin had apparently given us good tips on how to be a brilliant communicator. First, you need to know the topic well so can talk about it with confidence. Then, the style. Appear wise and confident even though you’re going to faint. If you’re afraid that you will forget the contents, make a power point slide to assist you. This will always help you. Use famous quotation or humorous remark so that the audiences will not feel that boring. Eye contact, body movement, expression should be coordinated. 

The activities for today were: Talking to inanimate object, talking in a group about familiar things, and lastly, telling my group mate about the spontaneous topic. The topic was not that ordinary No, you can’t lie because it’s fact. How can I lie about 13May incident? But, the important thing was, how you presented it. Are you confident or not?

I love talking in front of people, but I am shy to do so. So, this class gave me a good opportunity to blabbering around and of course, having new experiences and knowledge. *grin*

Business Proposal

13 Dec 2010, Today, we learned about how to make a business proposal. Proposal is essential to convince someone to approve a project or idea. Each group; now act as a company,was required to make a proposal of a new idea to be presented on 28 Dec. So we had come out with several ideas during brainstorming session, and chose one idea to be presented.  Feastic; the name we’d given to the product. It’s new and it’s good. *A good sales person must know how to market his product XD *

Feastic is plastic made from chicken-feather. Feather+plastic=Feastic. Aren’t we brilliant?:D Literally, it’s good for the environment, and will reduce the pollutants. Consequently, earth will become greener. 
I'll sue you for taking my feather and making me look ugly.
We were excited to prepare the information and everything, especially the SWOT analysis. We need to impress the investor!!WE MUST.  

To be honest, the product presentation was a success even though it was prepared recklessly due to the time limitation. Madam Liza and Madam Farah were interested in our product and they suggested some of ideas that can be included in our proposal. Thanks a lot, we appreciate it ^^  We’ll try to improve it. 

Always remember this while making the proposal.KISS--> Keep It Simple and Sweet or Keep it Sexy and Simple. You choose it :)
